Versailles Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan is such a pretty spring color.
We feel it is definitely a neutral color. It has a slight tinge of a muted green (I wouldn’t say celery…. but …. as a stretch… maybe a little) with a slight yellow to it. Almost a Celadon.
Versailles plays really well with any color you pair it with. In fact, it will lend itself to the personality of other colors. For example, pair Versailles with Rodmell and Emile.
Or how about Versailles with Duck Egg Blue and Antoinette.
Or lastly, Versailles paired with Aubusson Blue?
Annie got her inspiration for Versailles from vintage French furniture and gilded antique stores for this color.
And did you ever wonder color you would get if you mixed Versailles Chalk Paint® one to one with every other Annie Sloan color? Well………BAM! Here you go!
